Harry Potter Coloring Pages Online Free Printables

Image
This is a large page featuring a great list of websites where you will find many free images online that you can print and color in. We love Harry Potter and have spent many happy times enjoying coloring the images of popular characters such as Harry the boy wizard himself and Hermione. Coloring is a great activity to do with kids, especially during the long summer hols and vacation time. My daughter really loves the free Harry Potter coloring sheets that I find and print off for her. You can see an example of one that she did on this page. With younger children, coloring can really help to build up that hand and eye coordination while older kids can focus on building up their art skills as well as making fantasy posters for their walls. This is a great resource page for parents, teachers, grandparents and any adults who need to look after children.

Luna Lovegood Quotes from the Harry Potter Books

Image
This sayings, Luna Lovegood quotes and sentiments page presents my favorite quips all from the lovable and very eccentric Harry Potter witch herself. The main thing I love about this character is her fashion sense because it really rocks! You may not know but the very first mention of the Lovegoods is written long before they ever appear into Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which is book 4 in the series. This mentions that "the Lovegoods have been there for a week already" and it relates to the Quidditch World Cup which is on at the time. Luna who has a very unfortunate nickname "Loony" appears in the Harry Potter books 5 through to 7. Despite the odd nickname, she became a very strong and inspiring member of Dumbledore's Army.

Best Severus Snape Quotes from Harry Potter

Image
Alan Rickman was an acting legend. I liked him in many roles over the years but it was his part in Harry Potter that I enjoyed the most most. Severus Snape quotes is packed with my favorite sentiments, sayings and quotations. It was in the books that I met and loved this character for the first time. So I enjoyed reading through them all again and picking out gems of wisdom from The Potions Master who then became the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor and the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry . These quotes have been handily organized for you into the correct book order and sequence. The quotes are taken from the actual  Harry Potter books  by J.K. Rowling rather than the movies. Bookmark the page so that you can enjoy reading through these - Always!

How to Make a Witch Spell Book Tutorial

Image
A witch's spell book prop makes a great decoration for a large display unit and I wanted one. I didn't care to spend too much time making this Halloween prop because I've got lots of other decorations to work on too. I came up with this quick witch spell book tutorial which doesn't take hours of your time to make and looks simply amazing. You just need to allow some drying time for thick coats of paint and glitter.   Grab yourself a hard cover notebook or unwanted reading book that you can use to turn into a feature Halloween piece. Your completed book will sit on a display shelf, book case, mantel or a stand where it can be admired and appreciated by all your guests.

How to Sew a Cloak without a Pattern

Image
My daughter needed a cloak for a school event and rather than go out and buy one I decided to make my own. I had a large piece of old green and gold curtain fabric that was ideal to use for this project. Without having any pattern to follow, making the cloak all came down to measurements and guesswork but we got there in the end. Follow my post so you can see how to sew a cloak without having a pattern too. This post explains how I made the hooded cloak from start to finish. Hopefully you will find this useful if you need to make up a DIY one in a hurry yourself. I worked out how it was done so you don't have to.

This photo tutorial gives you a good guide on how to attach a hood onto a cape or cloak which has no fancy extras such as lining. You'll see how I did it with photos provided. Not everyone wants to go to the time, bother and extra fabric expense to line a costume or dress up cloak when it may only be worn a few times for Halloween. I certainly didn't. Here's how it is done.
